Bookmarking sites are a bit different because it depends a lot on what you're bookmarking, what kind of content (promo, info, funny, tech, news...), and what type of content (image, video, text...)

It also depends if you're bookmarking for traffic or for indexation purpose

Hi Fran, thanks for taking a few seconds to write.

There's a few things possible, making sure you have only one profile is probably taken care of, if not, look into that asap. Also make sure your profile is completely filled out.

Then i would maybe check into getting a few reviews, or even building a few strategic backlinks with your localisation included in your anchor text.

Hi Francois - can you answer a quick question for me? I was thrown off the first page of google in the local search (I think because I had a duplicate account - one set up by the company who built my website and one by me). Is there a way to get back quickly? It used to be if you updated your map you were moved up - that isn't helping me now. Any suggestions?

François, I agree with the statements "it is wise to include branded terms in the title element" as well as "vary your anchor texts". After implementing basic SEO for a client I focus on link-building and since the Panda Update I have been looking for alternatives to outdated link-building techniques.

"5 Altenatives to Outdated Linkbuilding techniques" in Website Magazine was an interesting read.

"Small Business SEO: 46 Experts on the Biggest Mistakes SMBs Make with SEO and Internet Marketing (and How to Avoid Them)" on the DIYSEO Blog was another good read. Lisa Barone mentions a basic step many businesses overlook in their link-building initiatives; attaining links from: Google Places, Bing, Yellow Pages, Localeze, Yelp, City Search, etc.

Yes, i agree... I'm still using NutshellMail, very nice for Twitter, but the Linkedin & Facebook reporting has a bit of way to go to be as valuable. Linkedin is clearly the weak link of NutshellMail... they're probably working on that right now! :-)

read the updates and then update your status only when mails arrive.
